I was never really a fan of Independence Day. But I did see it. What I would have loved to have seen is this:
When the enormous alien ship hovers over NYC, people are stopped in the streets looking up. Literally hundreds of thousands of people standing together, looking up.
At one point there is a cab driver standing next to what appears to be a high ranking Air Force officer, medals, hat and all.
The cab driver turns to the officer, who is still looking up stunned. The cab driver says, "And THAT's A F-ING WEATHER BALLOON, A--HOLE?!" Then the cabby hauls of completely decks the officer, his hat flying off and all.
Yup,would have loved to have seen that.
