FALLOUT #3: Even If

You can't feign sanity,
Nor wander much,
For there are things that stand out as true,
And cannot be argued
As not so.

Together today,
Together for always.

You came, you claim, to teach,
Yet you learned,
Yet you are correct in these things,
Though wandering,
Yet not supposed to,
Yet you do.

Together today,
Together for always.

How long can your brothers lay
On their backs with their feet in the air,
Waiting for a whisper,
Not their own,
To tell them to act,
Act,
Act,
Acts,
The Acts ?

You came to liberate the comfortable,
Those content in their suffering,
Convinced they deserved it,
Though profoundly set free
By the Servant
Who took it all on.

Together today,
Together for always.

Mocking gestures of obedience
By stupid people,
Hitchhiking into oblivion,
In complete ecstasy of forgetfulness
Of your presence,
Of His Word.

Together today,
Together for always.

Come to me when it is time,
I will have the place of liberation,
Of complete solitude and oneness
With Him.

Even if you think you know better,
You don't.

David and Jonathan together again.

Together today,
Together for always.
